Vascular Lab

The vascular lab at Pedes is specifically designed for the full range of vascular studies available, providing critical evaluation of all arteries and veins in the legs and feet. Our vascular ultrasound and MRI technologists are fully trained, certified and highly specialized, performing only vascular tests each day. Our physicians at Pedes Orange County have completed an intensive fellowship program in image guided procedures. They have now been practicing these procedures on a daily basis for over a decade, enabling Pedes to offer an unparalleled level of experience and expertise.

Arterial and Venous Ultrasound

Ultrasound guided procedures are the core of modern vascular treatments. They require significant training and experience and are always performed first to determine whether a specific artery or vein is open or blocked. This is a noninvasive technique that visualizes the artery with sound waves to measure blood flow through the arteries and veins, allowing the physician to target the problem area and determine the most effective treatment.

Each patient receives a thorough consultation following the ultrasound. If treatment is required, the specialist will explain the most effective treatment options available to increase blood flow to the legs and feet. This may decrease leg pain, reduce or eliminate ulcers and sores, increase mobility and even save the affected limb.
