Dr. Derrick Tran is a distinguished interventional radiologist specializing in a comprehensive array of vascular and interventional procedures. With a profound dedication to patient care and a commitment to excellence, Dr. Tran is grateful to be trained in and practice all aspects of vascular and interventional radiology, including neurointerventions, aortic endografting, dialysis interventions, pulmonary thrombectomy, embolization, oncology, foreign body retrieval, vertebral augmentation, pain management, deep and superficial venous work, and limb salvage.

Dr. Tran’s passion lies particularly in the minimally invasive treatment of peripheral vascular disease and progressive embolization techniques, such as geniculate artery embolization and hemorrhoid embolization. It is this intersection of innovative thinking and cutting-edge techniques that drew him to the field of vascular and interventional radiology.

Born and raised in Orange County, Dr. Tran’s journey to becoming a doctor took him to various locations before returning to his hometown. He is fluent in Vietnamese and graduated with cum laude honors from St. George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies. He further honed his skills through a general surgery internship and diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Oklahoma City, OK. He then completed his Vascular and Interventional Radiology Fellowship at the University of Florida Health Jacksonville, Jacksonville, FL.

Dr. Tran’s expertise extends beyond the technical aspects of his field; he believes in the importance of compassionate care and understanding each patient’s unique needs.
