Meet the Newest Member of our Team: Dr. Jalil Kalantari, M.D., MSc

Pedes Orange County is pleased to announce the incorporation of a new staff member into our multidisciplinary team of medical professionals to accommodate the growth of our thriving practice. Jalil Kalantari, M.D., MSc, is a vascular and embolization specialist who utilizes his expertise to focus on endovascular procedures.

For his undergraduate education, Dr. Kalantari attended the University of Western Ontario, London, Canada. Upon completion in 2008, he graduated with Dean’s List honors. He earned his medical degree from Chicago Medical School, graduating in the top 10 percentile as a National Honor Society Member of Upsilon Phi Delta. In 2016, Dr. Kalantari’s surgical internship took place at Harbor-UCLA medical center in Torrance, Calif. His Diagnostic Radiology Residency was completed at Loma Linda University. His Fellowship took place this past year at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School.

Aortic and peripheral vascular disease, venous interventions, pelvic congestion syndrome, varicocele embolization, interventional oncology, uterine fibroid embolization, prostate artery embolization, and genicular artery embolization make up Dr. Kalantari’s multifaceted medical interests. His research on vascular disease has been presented and recognized at both a national and international level.

Through evidence-based, collaborative research, Dr. Kalantari, along with other like-minded individuals at Pedes, aim to alleviate the painful symptoms our patients experience every day. Dr. Kalantari hopes to combine his field of study with a holistic approach to medicine that will procure personalized treatment options for all his patients.

Fluent in both English and Farsi, Dr. Kalantari is a wonderful addition to our team at Pedes as his distinct vascular skill set aligns with our practice’s concentrated options for patients afflicted with venous and arterial conditions. After years of dedication to his medical study, Dr. Kalantari is armed with an elite set of skills vital for any vascular specialist. When he is not performing vascular surgical procedures at Pedes Orange County, Dr. Kalantari enjoys scuba diving, soccer, ping pong, swimming, hiking, and camping.
